CLASSIC ART: THE SPIRIT OF 'STAR WARS'!
Still one of my favourite classic era magazine covers showcasing the original Star Wars- as our young heroes and friendly droids go for a landspeeder spin whilst watched over by the ethereal presence of Obi-Wan and the looming background of Darth Vader, for the 1978 launch issue of the informative genre magazine Questar. Great art by Ken Barr.

Interesting that the sandcrawler seems to have been painted with reference to Ralph McQuarrie's original production painting.
Indeed, it was probably one of the only decent reference images of the vehicle available at that point, as was the b/w art image by Joe Johnston that appeared around that time.
