STAR WARS AT 35: ONE MAN AND HIS FALCON!

At ILM sometime during late 1976/early 77, model making genius Lorne Peterson assists with the shooting of the Millennium Falcon caught in the tractor beam of the Death Star, and now about to berth in one of its many immense hangars. Because of the size and nature of the Falcon's shape, the arrival and fast departure sequences for Han Solo's iconic craft would apparently prove quite tricky to film.

With thanks to Chris Baker for the image.
