CLASSIC IMAGE: FORCEFUL FURIES...
The clash of lightsabers against the fiery backdrop of the lava world of Mustafar has never been more succinctly captured than in this great promo image composition for EPISODE III: the final chapter of the Prequel Trilogy and George Lucas's sadly last STAR WARS feature in his full capacity as its creator.
I'm happy, nay thrilled, that new STAR WARS films are coming, but its going to be a long four-year wait for them, so I'm querying DISNEY/LUCASFILM's need to cancel plans this year in screening the final two Prequel films in 3-D, now indefinitely postponed for the immediate future. It's a big disappointment, and I was looking forward to seeing EPISODE III in the format-I think it would have looked spectacular. Okay, they're business people that have to balance creativity, costs and profit margins, but I personally think all official parties concerned in STAR WARS future should have honoured Lucas's original commitment in getting all six films released in 3-D, though it's obvious that Prequel bashing is no longer confined to just the series fan base and twits like Simon Pegg-there's been a few hidden meanings to be deciphered in recent film studio comments, as well as little hints here and there from respected power players J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan on STAR WARS future and how they see it getting it's mojo back. I'm sure it'll all end up terrific, but I think Lucas's legacy on the Prequels (whether you like them or not), and the Originals, should at least be back up there on the big screen one last time.
