HAPPY 'JEDI' DAY AT LONDON's PRINCE CHARLES CINEMA!

The Dark Side embraces the release of THE MAKING OF RETURN OF THE JEDI. Images: AURUM PRESS.

Saturday 5th October was another "day long remembered" in the annals of UK STAR WARS history, as the lively Prince Charles cinema played host to a very special one-off theatrical screening of RETURN OF THE JEDI for its 30th Anniversary- albeit in its often derided 2011 Blu-ray "special edition" form rather than the original 1983 version- for an altogether nostalgia-packed and sold-out event alongside AURUM PRESS, for the publishing of J.W. Rinzler's stunning THE MAKING OF RETURN OF THE JEDI book. Both the talented and friendly author, and everyone's favourite STAR WARS SAGA ambassador and ultimate Boba Fett actor: Jeremy Bulloch, were on hand to sign copies of the weighty and beautiful tome, as well as partaking in an enjoyable Q and A after the screening fronted by EMPIRE film magazine's long-time STAR WARS devotee and cinematic history charter, Ian Freer.

J.W. Rinzler, Jeremy Bulloch and friends celebrate the book outside the cinema.

STAR WARS AFICIONADO was kindly invited by AURUM to a pre-film drinks event and had the opportunity to have a good old chat with the always kind and amiable Mister Bulloch. With Boba Fett's own 35th Anniversary this year, we pitched an idea to the actor that he should write an all-new short story about Fett for STAR WARS INSIDER- something he was enthused about after recently penning his popular autobiography. How about it, TITAN/LUCASFILM?
