CLASSIC IMAGE: THE NEW STARS OF 'STAR WARS'!


Remember 2014, and all the worldwide fan and press excitement over the old and new names that would be appearing in what would become known as THE FORCE AWAKENS? Well, that same thing, that same buzz, happened way back in 1997, too, with the announcement of casting for the first in the STAR WARS Prequels, as "next big thing" names like Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor were announced, playing the mysterious new "Queen" and the young Obi-Wan respectively, alongside acclaimed star Liam Neeson as a wise yet maverick "Jedi Master", fresh from the likes of ROB ROY and the acclaimed SCHINDLER'S LIST. When the cast all assembled with George Lucas for the first major posed photo shoot for the esteemed VANITY FAIR magazine (taken by celebrity lens icon Annie Leibovitz), appearing on newsstands several months before EPISODE I's release, it was truly a great time to be a fan: the first of three new films finally on the way...
