ROGUE ONE: ORBITAL KILLER!

Orbiting the expansive world of Jedha, the Empire's ominous Death Star is nearing completion, in what will be an important moment from ROGUE ONE. Note how the Superlaser dish is at a different angle in this scene compared to the way it appears in the original STAR WARS. Presumably it has the ability to move its dish into a new position when firing? All will surely be revealed in UK cinemas and IMAX from December 15th, 2016.

A model of the Death Star for the new film was part of the STAR WARS CELEBRATION 2016 ROGUE ONE exhibition. Presumably it was used by ILM for reference or scanning. It came with some interesting caption information.

"The Death Star is the Empire's ultimate weapon- a moon-sized space station with a superlaser capable of destroying an entire planet. The brainchild of Grand Moff Tarkin, the Death Star nears completion- and once ready, will serve as the Emperor's principal means of spreading fear throughout the galaxy."

The Death Star (in schematic plan form) is also the subscriber's issue only cover star of the new EMPIRE magazine dedicated to ROGUE ONE, on stands from 24th November, 2016.
