AN 'EMPIRE' AT 40: GOOFBALL FISHER!

With such long periods of inactivity between rehearsals, lighting and camera set-ups, and with all the delays and problems of studio rearranging that would bog the filming down from April 1979, any chance for the cast of The Empire Strikes Back to let their hair down and have some fun always proved welcome.

And 'hair down', up and rearranged was certainly the case for a very goofy Carrie Fisher, whose extra cameo as a background rebel solider in the Hoth hangar scenes soon generates much mirth with Harrison Ford and a set visitor presumed to be American actress Cristina Raines (then in London filming Silver Dream Racer), alongside Peter Mayhew and Marilou Hamill, during the Summer of 1979.
