Our Fortieth Anniversary celebration proper of The Empire Strikes Back kicks off with this splendid unused UK territory quad poster design created sometime late 1979 or early 1980, by Eddie Paul, who did numerus poster concept ideas for the film that ultimately went unused. It and others that have circulated online in 2020 have proved an intriguing mix of imagery taken from reference photos and Ralph McQuarrie production paintings.
