'OBI-WAN KENOBI': CELEBRATING THE YOUNG PRINCESS LEIA...

The young Leia with her pet droid Lo-LA59 (aka 'Lola').

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series, still airing exclusively on Disney+, had many well-conceived sequences to delight long-time fans of the Classic Trilogy, but surely no one expected that young Leia Organa would play such a vital and overall effective part in the six-episode storytelling, and ultimately be a pivotal character to encourage and transform Obi-Wan back from his exiled, tortured soul existence to a stronger and more confident shadowy protector figure for Luke Skywalker on Tatooine.

Enjoying quality time with dad on Alderaan.

On the road with Obi-Wan, of which McGregor and Blair showed great on screen chemistry.

Doing her best to resist the Stormtroopers!

Captured by the Third Sister (Moses Ingram).

A temporary goodbye before eventually reuniting on Alderaan.

An inspired casting choice, young Vivien Lyra Blair delivered a truly exceptional, mature and charming acting performance that managed to capture everything about Leia as originally personified by the much-missed Carrie Fisher- her spirited strength and courage as a soon rebel leader and diplomat, a challenging sense of tenacity, stubbornness, and, most importantly, her love of her adopted family- when we watch A New Hope again, we now have more subtle depth and insight into Leia's tragic personal loss with the destruction of her home planet of Alderaan, and the murder of her parents by the cruel Galactic Empire...
