'RAIDERS' AT 40: FIGHTING FOR THE ARK!

Another punch-up awaits Indy by the Nazi Flying Wing.

They've escaped their snake-layered Well of Souls underground trap, now Indy and Marion must do everything they can to liberate the Ark of the Covenant from the Germans, primarily trying to capture a Flying Wing during a perilous and explosive action sequence. From there, the dangers, action and injuries multiply for Indy as he then has to capture the enemy truck holding the ark. This is not going to be a fun day for him, but his onscreen breathless adventures (brilliantly staged and directed by Steven Spielberg and Mickey Moore, and using the services of Pat Roach, Peter Diamond, Bob Anderson, Terry Leonard, Glen Randall, plus other major participating stunt players) are nothing less than thrilling to viewers of all ages...

From STAR WARS to Indiana Jones, neither franchise could have had a better day-to-day behind the scenes visualist in concept art and storyboard work than Joe Johnston, whose clear love for the latter's cliffhanger-styled tribute hero, and the escapades he's caught up in, are more than summed up in this great cast and crew T-shirt concept he developed.

Almost down but not out from the mighty fists of a German bully (played by Classic Indy Trilogy action veteran Pat Roach), as well as at life-threatening risk from the dangers of the moving propellered underside of a flying wing, Indiana Jones summons all his personal strength and physical ingenuity to make a successful fightback whilst trying to re-claim the Lost Ark.
