THE 'PHANTOM' AT TWENTY: ESCAPING THE WATERFALL!

As their Bongo submersible heads towards a waterfall demise, Qui-Gon Jin prepares his friends escape from the vehicle, firing his grappling instrument towards a nearby pier at Theed City. One of the most famous deleted scenes from EPISODE I, filmed originally at the massive water tank facility at Pinewood Studios, London September 25th 1997, alongside a brief location shoot at the gorgeous Hever Castle.

THE 'PHANTOM' AT TWENTY: JEDI RISING!

Enjoying his opportunity to do an Apocalypse Now moment in tribute moment to Martin Sheen's, cockily confident Ewan McGregor partakes in the water tank at Pinewood studios for the last day of his original principal photography schedule- a scene of Obi-Wan Kenobi's emerging from the water after having dropped out of a descending Trade Federation vessel in the Naboo forests- a sequence ultimately deleted from EPISODE I.

EPISODE IX: THAT LOOKS FAMILIAR?

POSSIBLE SPOILERS! Her original ship, the later named Tantive IV, may have been lost to pursuant Imperial forces during the now legendary start to the original Star Wars, but the upcoming EPISODE IX will see General Leia Organa gain another iconic blockade runner in its place, during an urgent mission parked on a jungle type world, and a craft incredibly built full size- presumably on the famous 007 Stage at London's Pinewood Studios. Can't wait to see it in all its proper glory (as well as other background ships to its right) at the cinema this December 2019.

'SOLO': DELIVERING A VISION...

On the Pinewood Studios set of Dryden Vos's luxury liner in 2017, acclaimed director Ron Howard gets ready to film another part of the climactic meeting between the evil gangster and Han Solo regarding the stolen Coaxium. From Solo: A Star Wars Story, out next week on UK home entertainment formats.

EPISODE VII: TO RETRIEVE THE FALLEN!

On the superbly rendered Starkiller Base snow forest set at Pinewood Studios, J.J. Abrams consults with Domhnall Gleeson and an unhelmeted extras for the shooting of an ultimately deleted scene from The Force Awakens, where Hux and his First Order Trooper escort recover the injured Kylo Ren, upon prior instruction from Supreme Leader Snoke.

Though not in the completed film, the scene can be found in Alan Dean Foster's novel adaptation of VII.

'SOLO': THE MEN BEHIND THE MAN!

Any worries that their relationship might be disrupted working together on the script for a Star Wars film soon dissipated for father and son scriptwriting geniuses Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan in their near four years on and off concocting the action, fun, humour and drama for Han Solo's unique genesis in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Despite the problems of filming, overseeing a delicate balance of tone in action, drama and lightness of touch, and the change of directors, it was clearly a thrill for the duo, and for dedicated audiences, in seeing the final results come to life so well on screen.

EPISODE VIII: RECOGNISING THE WISDOM OF FAILURE!

A special cameo for The Last Jedi: Master Yoda, once more voiced by Frank Oz.

Luke had previously put off destroying by fire the Ahch-To island's sacred Jedi tree and its inside books dating generations back, but now Master Yoda has reappeared from the nether world of the Force to do the job for him, whilst also reminding his former student to stay focused on life and the universe at hand, as well as the future of Rey as a Jedi. An emotional reunion on and off screen for Mark Hamill and Frank Oz, and a nicely written and played scene created for The Last Jedi.

And young Skywalker still has so much to learn, and unlearn!

Following on from the way the Original Trilogy's Yoda was created by Stuart Freeborn (still the little Jedi Master's only realizer), it made sense for the latest film's production team to stick with using a practical, all-new constructed Yoda puppet (operated by Oz and his team) for Hamill to interact with, instead of the excellent, but potentially visual continuity jarring use of the CGI Yoda seen during the Prequel Trilogy.

Despite the potential onscreen chemistry of Rey and Poe Dameron seen at the end of The Last Jedi, Miss Ridley isn't sure a future romance for her character is necessarily the right creative move as the saga heads towards the upcoming IX.

EPISODE VIII:THE MYTH BEARERS...

At Pinewood Studios, London, writer/director Rian Johnson, his long-time producing partner Ram Bergman and Keeper of the STAR WARS Franchise in Kathleen Kennedy go through a sequence being filmed for The Last Jedi set on the Resistance cruiser Raddus. Impressed with Johnson's creativity and amiable personality, it wasn't long before Kennedy would offer him the keys to the creation of an all-new trilogy, featuring all-new heroes and villains, coming by 2020/21, beyond the legend originally created by George Lucas.

Will the trio's future endeavours live up to the standard bearer that is the original legacy?
