CLASSIC IMAGE: WHICH ONE'S THE DECOY?

Though captured by the Neimoidians, the tide of battle and potential victory is turning back into Queen Amidala's favour with the unexpected arrival of her decoy, in another great moment from the Battle of Naboo sequence for EPISODE I.

With such an army at their disposal, it wasn't going to be a long, hard battle for the Trade Federation in winning control of the peaceful world of Naboo- the spoils of war are theirs, for the time being, in this great production painting by Doug Chiang, showcasing the elite Neimoidian leaders.

Intriguingly, this art shows the original facial designs for the Neimoidians that were not used in EPISODE I- for practical filming reasons, and instead applied to EPISODE II's CGI-created flying pests on Geonosis. The idea of the Battle Droids reflecting their masters visages was held over for that film. too.

CLASSIC IMAGE: MASSACRE ON MUSTAFAR!

Trapped in the control room of their secret Mustafar base, the Trade Federation and Separatist enemies of the newly established First Galactic Empire are swiftly wiped out by the proclaimed Emperor's lethal man servant, the shrouded identity hidden Darth Vader, in this great moment from EPISODE III.

BEHIND THE SCENES: A FEW SCREWS LOOSE...

At the make-up/effects workshops at FOX STUDIOS, Australia, a trio of control assisted, lobotomised Neimoidian heads await their call to eventual filming, and demise via Anakin Skywalker, in this behind the scenes image from EPISODE III.

DELETED SCENE: THE "MARY CELESTE" MOMENT

On Naboo, outside the main Theed Palace concourse, Darth Maul and Nute Gunray (with accompanying head gear-less Neimoidian retinue) watch the arrival of Queen Amidala's cruiser, eerily empty of passengers (just like the mysterious classic tale of the deserted-at-sea sailing vessel The Mary Celeste) and sent by remote control into the city, intended as a decoy move by our heroes.

An early scripted, ultimately never fully completed deleted scene moment from EPISODE I most likely shot at Leavesden Studios rather than on location in Italy.

Observing the returned Naboo cruiser, in another unexpected move for the Naboo Queen.

CLASSIC IMAGE: TRAP WITHIN A TRAP!

Our captured Jedi heroes, Artoo, and the once rescued Supreme Chancellor are brought before General Grievous on the bridge of the Invisible Hand, in this slightly different out-take image from EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH.
