A surely battle hardened member of the "Prune Face" aliens- note the eyepatch and cloak sides weapons/supplies bandoliers similar to Chewbacca's- listens intently to the Rebels plans to destroy the second Death Star, in this rare B/W material sent as reference to KENNER TOYS in 1982, during the UK filming of RETURN OF THE JEDI.

GOODBYE, LYNNE HAZELDEN...

The very sad news has come in that RETURN OF THE JEDI background artist Lynne Hazelden has sadly passed away, after being such a trooper battling cancer. Lynne was one of the few onscreen and visible female X-wing pilots of the film, later given the Expanded Universe character name of Karie Neth. She can be viewed in the important Rebel Briefing Room scene.

I had the opportunity of meeting Miss Hazelden a few years back- an attractive and charming lady who had lots to remember about her time making JEDI, as well as other films in her varied career.

Our deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends at this sad time. RIP.

A Mon Calamari ground crew officer is one of the many Rebels seen in the background within the immense Base One cruiser, as General Han Solo and his combat team prepare to depart for Endor.

ROTJ AT 30: IT'S DO-OR-DIE TIME

Inside the briefing room of the huge Base One cruiser, the Rebel leaders (including Admiral Ackbar, General Madine and Mon Mothma) outline their plans for the final, decisive battle against the Empire at Endor, in a critical scene from Return of the Jedi.

The of its time, deliberately scratched by Lucasfilm reference image for KENNER comes via The Earth Collectible Toy Mall site.
