Friends with writer/director J.J. Abrams since childhood, popular film and TV actor Greg Grunberg was back in the X-wing cockpit for more Resistance action with The Rise of Skywalker, playing Snap Wexley, though with such a brutal finale sky battle closing the film someone in the supporting cast had to bite the dust as a casualty of war, and that would be Wexley, caught in a deadly TIE fighter trap during the exciting Battle of Exegol.

Snap may be gone, but his sacrifice was ultimately not an empty one.

EPISODE IX: FROM SPICE TO SPACE!

Oscar Isaac's General Poe Dameron strikes a heroic call-to-action merchandising/publicity pose for The Rise of Skywalker. EPISODE IX: LEIA THE JEDI!

The moment we all wanted to see in a Star Wars film, as Leia Organa wields a lightsaber as part of the Jedi training given by her brother, and besting him in combat no less, at a time after Return of the Jedi, and seen in flashback form for The Rise of Skywalker, out on UK home entertainment next month. A worthwhile use of facial CGI manipulation using the late Carrie Fisher, as well as Mark Hamill, as they looked in ROTJ, with her important body stand-in during 2019 filming deservedly being Fisher's daughter herself, Billie Lourd.
