BEHIND THE SCENES: CANTINA CLOWNING!

Stop motion/monster maker whizz-kids Jon Berg (left) and an almost Jedi robed, shades wearing Phil Tippett (right) have fun with a Hammerhead in the small alcove set built during January 1977's additional shooting period in Los Angeles featuring additional Rick Baker created monsters for quick insertion into the original STAR WARS. According to STARWARS.COM, Berg would go onto play both Durosian aliens in the film and a member of the Cantina Band (joining Tippett, who was also one of the restrictive mask wearing, music making aliens).

The MOVIES.COM website recently chatted to Phil Tippett here: Brilliant Effects Master Phil Tippett Sheds Some Light on George Lucas' 'Star Wars'-Tinkering Mind | Movie News | Movies.com
