BEHIND THE SCENES: A QUICK RECCE

Sir Alec Guinness and his wife Lady Merula Guinness arrive in Tunisia (March 1976) and, a day or so prior to the start of filming his scenes as Obi-Wan, meet Lucas and producer Gary Kurtz for a chat and a quick promotional photo. A talented artist, Merula would often go off and paint Tunisian backgrounds and buildings whilst her husband was movie-making.

AFICIONADO sends special Birthday Greetings out to Gary Kurtz for this weekend.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF STAR WARS AFICIONADO!

Written and conceived by Scott Weller, this is the website to the popular UK STAR WARS fan magazine STAR WARS AFICIONADO. From time to time, this site will also cover other classic LUCASFILM related movies and TV series, like the INDIANA JONES saga (I to IV), WILLOW, THX-1138, AMERICAN GRAFFITI and RED TAILS.
