ROTJ AT 30: ILLUSTRIOUS ILLUSTRATION!
Released not too long after the movie first came out, once its surprises and revelations had long been revealed to fans, the ILLUSTRATED EDITION of James Kahn's stellar novel adaptation of RETURN OF THE JEDI was, back in the day, too pricey an American import at the London Forbidden Planet bookstore to buy with my existing pocket money allowance, so it wasn't until the arrival of Ebay in my adult years that I was finally able to procure it for my collection. And a lovely book it is too, full of great ILM production storyboard images alongside the exciting prose.
In continuing celebration of JEDI's 30th Anniversary, check out this great behind the scenes feature by Alex Jay on his original design work for the DEL REY book, here: Tenth Letter of the Alphabet: Under Cover: Return of the Jedi
