ROTJ AT 30: WHEN JEDI MEET...
On the smaller sized Dagobah set at Elstree in early 1982, Richard Marquand goes through a script check with Mark Hamill and Sir Alec Guinness for the important sequence where Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker are reunited, with some important truths between them confirmed and revealed.
I had another chance to meet THE MAKING OF RETURN OF THE JEDI's talented author J.W. Rinzer at the UK LONDON FILM AND COMIC CON event yesterday. He confirmed to me that, despite ideas/dialogue appearing in an early story/script draft, and in James Kahn's 1983 novelisation of the film, nothing was filmed of the originally planned story information involving Kenobi imparting to Luke that Owen Lars was his brother. Another long-time STAR WARS filming myth solved or debunked.

And watch out for the superb e-books on all three MAKING OFs, with additional written material, rare behind the scenes/deleted footage, plus 200 new photos in each title, available from October 22nd.
