On board the Rebel Starfighter (later cruiser), the evil Darth Vader and one of his Stormtrooper henchman are on the hunt for a Princess, in a memorable storyboard composed by Alex Tavoularis, one of the earliest visualists to work on the film alongside Ralph McQuarrie in 1975.
With their early work started on the film, George Lucas and Gary Kurtz, through their friend Francis Ford Coppola, manage to acquire Tavoularis to highlight two key sequences from the film - it's the best they can afford with their limited budget, and with no major financing yet from Fox at that time.
