Defined by an independent streak making her less subservient than the Classic Trilogy's Threepio, and proving just as bolshy, if not more so, than Rogue One's K-2SO, Solo: A Star Wars Story's new showcase droid L3-37, voiced by rising British star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is one sharp-minded, sharpened-attitude creation- clever and sophisticated in her unique partnership with her owner, the nefarious and equally shrewd Lando Calrissian, they make for an on-screen combination both worthy, trusting and eerily complimenting of one another as they stylishly travel the galaxy in the Millennium Falcon looking for the next 'big thing' to make the most of- be it from people, schemes and enterprises that they can fully exploit to their advantage and profit.
Fiercely into 'droid rights', L3-37 is further unique in that she is capable of rebuilding and self-improving itself/herself with other droid parts beyond her original programming, and is soon very handy to have about in any confrontations with Imperials or other types of galactic scum!
