ILM CLASSIC IMAGE: THE REBEL CRUSHER!
The huge frame of Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer, The Executor, moves through space intent on finding and destroying the Rebel Alliance once and for all. I don't recall this exact shot appearing in either THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK or RETURN OF THE JEDI, so I'm assuming it's a specially composed ILM image, probably by stalwart Terry Chostner, who did a lot of that type of inventive photography for the Classic Trilogy...

Aren't the jets on the Executor supposed to be red? Or is this another "improvement"
Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, the engines were indeed red weren't they on film. I think this may have been an early composite publicity photo from EMPIRE and its quite possible that, at the time it was put together, it was unknown exactly what colour the engines would be. That's my guess anyway...
Heaven forbid that there are any more "improvements"!
