The Grand Moff Tarkin ponders his position as The Emperor's right hand, whilst making plans to destroy the Rebel Alliance "in one swift stroke". A classic image from the original STAR WARS.
The great Peter Cushing was a thoroughly charming and much respected man, capable of playing truly heroic good guys on screen as well as despicable baddies. Next month, TITAN PUBLISHING are bringing out a revised edition of David Miller's popular biography of the actor-A LIFE IN FILM: PETER CUSHING, packed with insight and lots of exciting rare pictures from his long and varied film career, most noteworthily from the many classic HAMMER HORROR films he was involved in during the fifties to the late seventies. The young Tarkin, as seen in the latest episodes of THE CLONE WARS. |
Continuing the classic Cushing STAR WARS tradition, American actor Stephen Stanton has been providing the voice for the animated character of young Tarkin, on the rise within the decaying Republic, in THE CLONE WARS on and off these past three years, and to much fan acclaim. He appears in the latest episode of the series this week (the Season Five finale), alongside Tim Curry's debut as the new voice of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, following the sad passing of Ian Abercrombie.
