Well, we were waiting for news concerning Dave Filoni's recent "research" into TIE fighters, and now we've got it. The new animated series from DISNEY coming in 2014 to replace THE CLONE WARS has now been revealed: STAR WARS: REBELS, set somewhere in the twenty years between EPISODEs III and IV, focusing on the birth of the Rebellion against the Galactic Empire. It's the era we've all wanted to see realised (at one time as a live-action film or as a TV series-the latter format of which may still happen one day), and, with pretty much the same creative team working on this as did THE CLONE WARS, REBELS should prove a worthy successor: an incredible and exciting animated viewing experience that stays true to Lucas's epic traditions.
