He is determined not to let his latest foreboding Force vision - the death of his beloved wife - come to fruition, as Anakin shares a tender deleted scene moment with Padme, and makes an important promise to her, from EPISODE III. A moment of this scene being rehearsed with George Lucas can be witnessed in behind the scenes footage on the 2005 DVD and the later 2011 Blu-ray.
