'STAR WARS' AT 40: SUBDUING IMPERIAL BOARDERS!
Back in 1977, we heard but never saw our hidden heroes on board the Falcon taking out the Imperial scanning crew and the subsequent ramp Stormtroopers in the Death Star hangar. Thankfully, the talents of long-time STAR WARS artist Chris Trevas would happily rectify that by 2015, in the art The Folly of TK-421...
As to the subdued foes final fate we never found out on screen. I assume Han and Chewie dumped the unconscious or dead bodies somewhere in the hangar bay shortly afterwards, or kept them tied up in the Falcon's hidden compartments, later giving them over to the Rebels as prisoners of war. In Alan Dean Foster's adaptation novel of 1976, the unconscious Stormtroopers were stored in a locker on board the Falcon before eventually being discovered by their Imperial comrades.
