BEHIND THE SCENES: 'SABER BUDDIES!
In a break between his lightsaber practicing for THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK in the early Summer of 1979, Mark Hamill poses with Dave Prowse for a fun publicity image (other posed images from the publicity shoot -showing the pair fake practicing a part of their upcoming duel- also exist, like the one below).
Legendary British stuntman and fencer Bob Anderson would handle the majority of the filmed duel as Vader, in and out of the Bespin sets at Elstree, for both insurance purposes linked to Prowse, and also because Anderson was a far more experienced swordsman. Prowse has publicly stated that he did a small portion of the filmed duel, though I can't confirm which sequence.
