CLASSIC IMAGE: THE PRINCESS, THE WOMAN...

One of my all-time favourite posed promotional images of Carrie Fisher, looking absolutely stunning in the outdoor light, from RETURN OF THE JEDI's publicity campaign. Revealed as "the other" by Obi-Wan Kenobi to Luke Skywalker, Leia certainly showed her mettle in this final film of the middle trilogy, killing the gross-out Jabba the Hutt, demonstrating her skills as a speeder bike pilot and taking out numerous Imperial Stormtroopers in the final battle for the destruction of the shield generator protecting the second Death Star in orbit above Endor. The original STAR WARS heroine, Leia, and Carrie Fisher, continue to be an important part of why the saga has been popular and enduring for forty years as we head towards 2017.
