'STAR WARS' AT 40: DESERT INTRUDERS!
A Dewback reptile and its Imperial Sandtrooper escort navigates the deserts of Tatooine, creating a perimeter near their discovery of the empty Rebel escape pod, and their secret search for the missing Death Star data tapes, in this image not often seen in its originally shot visual composition.
The Dewback would appear as part of the background of Mos Eisley in later April 1976 location filming in Ajim, Tunisia, before the prop, not wanted back at the Elstree Studios prop facility, was ultimately abandoned in that country.
